Silver (Metal) Leafing?

A while back, I bought this french provincial dresser and matching nightstand (for really cheap) off of craigslist. Since I purchased it I've wanted to change it's appearance from it's regular stain... paint or something. I first thought of painting it all white (or shade of white) including the pulls. THEN, while browsing the net I stumbled across My Champagne Taste's blog and spotted this magnificent diy aluminum leafed, french provincial dresser.

.
So, I decided that I HAVE to do this to my chest and nightstand! My only issue right now is free time. Metal leafing appears to be a time consuming project that takes some patience (and money) and time and right now... I'm 5 and half months pregnant with a 2 year old and I don't think I'll have the time to do this. :( *sigh* What is a busy mom to do. I think I'll get some quotes to see what area artists/gilders are charging for work like this. I'm hoping it's not ridiculously expensive... crossing my fingers. I'll let you know what I find out.
